Pardon the terrible pun but it is an accurate statement. Tam and I have been feverishly working on sorting through all of our belongings, pawning them off to family, friends and anyone that wants to add to their own collection of goods.
This is no small task and it is often difficult to part with things you’ve grown accustomed to having around your home. By the end of the process, we will have sold, donated or trashed 90% of our possessions. Sometimes I feel like the Francis of Assisi of Merrimac. Tammy even sold my dresser, so now all of my clothes are in baskets by my bed. I’m becoming itinerant.
Tammy and I want to thank all of you who have helped us along the way. It is a big strain on our nerves and on our time as we prepare the house for sale. We hope to list it next week, but we still have several rooms to paint and other “touch ups” to apply before we do. We still have some things that might be of interest to churches… an electronic drum kit, stage lighting, some sound equipment, etc. Please let your pastors and youth leaders know! We’re moving closer to our goal of moving to Haiti. Sometimes it feels like we are inching our way, but progress is being made. Thank you for your support and encouragement!
We still need a small box truck, mini-bus or other vehicle that can be packed with the things we are keeping. It needs to be “road ready” since we will be driving it to Miami, then shipping vehicle and all to Haiti (we’ll fly, I guess).
