This past Wednesday morning began with an early morning ride to Logan Airport for the first part of a two and a half week missions adventure.
Flying into San Bernardino was a long but smooth trip and I was soon situating myself at the luxurious Super 8 motel for a two day stint while I attended the annual ISOM conference. It was a wonderful day and a half of teaching, sharing and collaborating with 200, or so, missionaries from all over the world. There were 100 nations represented at the 3 day conference with attendees flying in from the countries of China, Brazil, Africa and many, many others. As the representative from Haiti, I had a chance to briefly share our vision and progress of our work there.
I was extremely blessed to receive a donated Vision 20/20 pack from our hosts Dr. Berin and Lisa Gilfillan, founders of Good Shepherd Ministries and the ISOM curriculum. This newly designed pack includes a portable video projector, a light-weight rechargeable battery and a back-pack solar charging system, as well as all the cables and accessories. This system will allow us to take the ISOM and BOKS video training resources to the remotest areas of Haiti. What a tremendous blessing!
